What to expect

To avoid any misunderstandings and ensure a happy time I would like to emphasize the fact that we are not an hotel or a Bed and Breakfast. The villa is divide into several independent self-catering apartments with daily cleaning except on Sunday. Montorio are for those people enjoy being by themselves and enjoy creating their experiences independently, for this reason there is no reception desk or any food services but, an employee will always be ready to assist guest by arranging tours, various reservations, etc. from the very moment of ones arrival.

• CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT
Check-in is from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A day before arrival we will send an email asking your arrival time.
In case you have problem to respect our check in hours (late airplane arrival, traffic on the road or what else)
to offer more flexibility it is possible to do a SELF CHECK IN, please let us know and we will give the instructions.

• THERE IS NO SWIMMING POOL.
The reason that Montorio does not have a pool is due to its prestigious location. Montorio's close proximity to the church of San Biagio, a real jem of reinassance, and for its proximity to the historic center of Montepulciano with its mediaeval streets, ancient churches along with the sumptuous natural surroundings make it impossible to have swimming pool on the premises. There are also environmental restrictions prohibiting the building of a swimming pool. We are glad for these legal restrictions because we know that regardless who the owners are the beauty of the area both natural and man-made will be respected and enjoyed for years to come. This might be for some guests, especially those with young children, a tragic flaw but on the other hand it gives one a chance to truly enjoy the tranquility and the silence of the place. For those who desire a dip in a pool, around us there are a number of natural thermal water pools that flow from underground springs. They are not more than a drive of 10 minutes from Montorio.
